Product 8256-016 is an actuator from Woodward. It is in the Electrically Powered Governor series, and one of three parts that can make up a full EPG system. This model can be equipped for use on both turbines and engines. It is compatible with ones powered by gas, diesel, and gasoline. This model can be powered by a 24-volt or 12-volt battery and will consume a maximum of 60 watts of energy.

This actuator weighs just under two pounds and can handle high temperatures. Ambient temperatures for model 8256-016 should be kept between -40 and 93 degrees Fahrenheit. This actuator cannot withstand as high of temperatures as other actuators in the series. It is equipped with isochronous control, and single-phase droop control. Product 8256-016 uses both clockwise and counterclockwise rotation.
