The operator station obtains data directly from the controller (not via the server). Therefore, the VME172PA-652SE shows an update time of 1 second.
The architecture is not server-based & therefore it is impossible to lose data during a server switchover.
There is no single point of failure (in the case of a client-server architecture, loss of the server results in all operator stations).
Individual units can be commissioned independently, after which the databases can be merged on the main engineering station.
Each operator station can be used as a historicisation node.
Failure of one operator station or even the main engineering station does not affect system performance or plant operability.
