Description
TRICONEX 8310N2 Power Module
The TRICONEX 8310N2 has an internal 120GB database to support data processing and support complex recipe programs. The VIDN-350 integrates a full-featured temperature controller in a 530 loop with 24 auto-tuned, plus built-in thermocouple and pt100 inputs. This combination of new and improved features allows engineers and system designers to benefit from a powerful upgraded PLC and color touch screen HMI with minimal budget, cabinet space and wiring. The Vision Series Controller is a compact PLC with management unit I/OS and graphical/touch/color operator interface. Vision’s integral HMI panel contains a graphic ready LCD, function keypad and/or touch screen. This allows you to use graphical images and bar graphs to represent real-time variable data, create and display text commands, and display actual run-time system data. The operator uses the keypad to enter or modify system data.VISY’s management unit I/OS provides D/A inputs, including HSC/vibration encoders/frequency meters, and relay/transistor outputs, including piezoresistors. Some models also provide direct temperature measurement for the process industry. Communication options include Trade Agreement/IP Ethernet, GSM/GSM and SMS, web server and e-mail, MODBUS and CANBUS.
The software package enables manufacturers and machine builders to drastically reduce the overall cost of machine project development, commissioning time and ownership. The software can be downloaded via a web site, run as a custom application on the user’s machine and connected to a database hosted by PLC Code Generator. Users simply configure their machine project, including all machine I/O (inputs and outputs), I/O relationships and general machine sequences. The software then produces a complete PLC program with full machine control (including automatic and manual forward/reverse modes) and diagnostic functions, as well as a complete set of program addresses and crossfile comments. Programming and tag generation via commonly used touchscreens or HMIs was also included. emjen’s initial process review of the software included the application of the PLC Code Generator to generate PLC programs for at least 3 different machines with a total I/O count of approximately 150. Since these machines had been previously programmed, emjen was able to provide a time and cost analysis of manually programming the machines versus generating programs using the PLC Code Generator. Code Generator. Results: Average time savings of more than 80% and average cost savings of more than 50%.
