REF615 IEC Feeder Protection and Measurement Control Units


The REF615 IEC Feeder Protection and Measurement and Control Unit is a dedicated feeder protection and measurement and control unit designed for the protection, control, measurement and monitoring of public and industrial distribution systems.The REF615 can be adapted to both ungrounded and resistance or impedance-grounded neutral networks. In addition, the REF615 can also be used for the protection of ring-mesh or radial distribution networks by utilizing the unit’s advanced inter-station communication capabilities. The protected network consists of multiple feeders and distributed generation.

The REF615 IEC feeder protection and measurement and control unit is available in 12 standard configurations for common feeder protection and measurement and control applications. the REF615 features support for the substation IEC61850 communication standard, Parallel Redundancy Protocol (PRP) and High Availability Seamless Redundancy (HSR), which consists of the IEC 61850 communication standard IEC 61850-9-2-LE. the relay also supports the substation IEC 61850 communication standard LE. the relay also supports the substation IEC 61850-9-2-LE. The relay also supports DNP3, IEC 60870-5-103 and the Modbus® protocol. The Profitbus DPV1 protocol is supported via the SPA-ZC 302 protocol adapter.
