Description

PROSOFT 6105-WA-PDPS Silicon Controlled Modules

PROSOFT 6105-WA-PDPS is typically measured using a digital diaphragm pressure sensor. Large orifice tubes are commonly used instead of orifice gauges to measure flow in large pipework due to higher pressure loss. Dahl tubes produce differential pressures higher than venturi tubes and nozzles, which all have the same throat diameter. Pressure flow tubes have a higher pressure loss rate compared to venturi tubes. ABB 5SHY3545L0009 tubes are more compact and are commonly utilized for high flow rate applications.

The PROSOFT 6105-WA-PDPS tube comprises a brief, straight inlet segment, succeeded by a sharp reduction in the tube’s internal diameter. Following that, there is a converging inlet cone and a bifurcated outlet cone, separated by a slot or gap. The two cones are separated by a slot or gap between the two cones. Low-pressure measurements are taken in the slotted throat, which is positioned between two cones. High pressure is measured at the inlet shoulder’s upstream edge.

Advantages of the PROSOFT 6105-WA-PDPS
Dahl flow tubes provide several advantages, including higher pressure loss rates than Venturi flow tubes.
It is comparably more compact and frequently used for high-flow applications.
The total energy loss as a percentage of a Dahl gauge is approximately 50% less than a Venturi gauge with similar differential pressure loss.
Very low permanent pressure drop – saving energy
Easy installation – minimal overall length Precise
measurement of flow rates for clean gases, liquids and
vapours Consequently, reduced wear and tear promotes lower maintenance and inspection requirements.
