The total battery capacity of the two ferries reaches 8320 kilowatt hours, equivalent to the total of 10700 vehicle batteries.
One technology that must be mentioned throughout the entire project is the IRB 7600 robot provided by ABB, which will also become an important component of this route charging solution. Based on the application of 3D laser scanning and ship shore wireless communication technology, at a distance of 4 meters from the shore, the ferry will send a signal to open the robot hatch and ship hatch; When approaching the shore 0.4 meters, the robot automatically extends its robotic arm from the window of the shore charging station, pulls the onboard cable into the charging station, and connects it to the charging interface. After completing the connection, the robot returns to its original position and the shutter is closed at the same time. When not in use, the robot will stay in its own room.
