Description
Input Voltage: Your home computer requires AC power from a wall outlet. When deployed at the edge, you don’t always have access to 120VAC power. the PC834-001-T can take DC input directly from an industrial power supply. Our ruggedised PCs are rated up to 9~48V, so you have the flexibility to deploy according to the power source at your site.
Particles/Dust: PCs with fans will not last long when dust and debris enter the system through vents and cause components to short out or get in the way of moving parts. The PC834-001-T Fanless PC is ventless to keep dust and particles out. Need a GPU for machine vision or other image-intensive tasks? Our unique fanless hybrid solution allows fans to actively cool graphics or other expansion cards in separate compartments while protecting the motherboard and other sensitive internal components in the ventless and fanless portions of the chassis.
Enclosure Design: Depending on your deployment environment, you may want to deploy the PC834-001-T in an enclosure to protect it from rain and snow. In addition, other devices deployed at the edge, such as PLCs, will also require enclosures.
Regulatory/Compliance: Depending on your application, you may need a Class 1, Division 2 rating (C1D2), which is a hazardous environment rating for flammable gases and liquids. Like IP-rated computers, these computers cost more than regular ruggedised computers, and you should consider whether you can place the PC834-001-T outside of these environments, or use a C1D2 compliant enclosure for local equipment. (Applicability depends on your environment, always consult your regulatory engineer).
