Description

NI PXIE-4145 Full-Duplex Connection Module

There are four types of IP addresses for the PXIE-4145 (as shown in Figure 3): Class A is used to handle very large networks with up to 16,387,064 hosts (1 to 126); Class B networks can have up to 64,516 hosts (the first segment of the network address is 128 to 191); Class C is used for small networks with up to 254 hosts (the first segment of the network address is 192 to 223); Class D is used for multicasting, for the transmission of multi-purpose information. The all-zero (“0.0.0.0”) address corresponds to the current host, and the all-1 address (“255.255.255.255”) is the broadcast address of the current subnet.

PXIE-4145 is a transport layer based protocol, protocol file available from RFC 793, widely used, connection-oriented and reliable protocol. It can break messages into segments and reassemble those segments at the destination, supports retransmission of segments that were not received, provides a full-duplex connection between two devices, and allows them to exchange large amounts of data efficiently.TCP uses a sliding window protocol to use the network efficiently. Because TCP rarely interferes with the underlying delivery system, it adapts to a variety of delivery systems and provides flow control that enables a variety of systems with different rates to communicate. The message segment is the basic transport unit used by TCP to transfer data or control information.
