IS220UCSAH1A module is available in USB, Ethernet, RJ12RS-232, 3PINRS-485 and 3PINRS-232 versions and allows for on-demand networking as communication needs change. The platform does not require a chassis or backplane, and the expandable PLC unit can add up to eight I/O modules (depending on the model). There are currently 27 discrete I/O expansion modules available in 8, 12 and 16 point versions, enabling the system to be expanded to 164 discrete I/O points. For expansion, 11 option modules starting at $33 are available for flexible system configurations with up to 142 I/O. All single-click CPUs support 8K steps of Flash EPROM programme memory and 8K words of data storage. Two 24 VDC power supply options. Outputs of 5a or 1.3a can be used to power the PLC.
