IC693CPU374-GP automatic operation, high-speed counter initial value register writing must be disabled. Since multipoint positioning requires loading the preset value several times, writing the preset value must execute the HSC instruction. Execution of the HSC write instruction not only writes the preset value, but the value in the initial value register SMD38 is also written if it is not restricted in the control byte. And SMD38=0, so that the current value of the high-speed counter count is set to 0.

IC693CPU374-GP must set the seventh bit SM37.6 of the control byte SMB37 to 0 during automatic operation to prohibit writing of the initial value when loading the preset value.  However, when the high-speed counter is initially set and the operation is restarted by returning to the home position, the initial value must again be written so that the initial value is set to 0 to avoid errors caused by mechanical reasons.

IC693CPU374-GP control byte must be modified several times. The principle to be followed is: after allowing the initial value to be written and the HSC instruction to be executed, the control byte must be modified immediately to prohibit the initial value from being written and the HSC instruction to be executed again, with no other instructions existing in between.
