The main process control system of the new No.2 blast furnace consists of two levels in terms of system functionality, namely the basic automation level and the process control level, as shown in Figure 1. The basic automation level completes data collection and preliminary processing of the production process, data display and recording, data setting and production operations, and performs continuous adjustment control and logical sequence control of the production process. It mainly consists of six control stations, one remote I/O control station, nine operator stations based on industrial PC hardware platform, two engineer stations, two servers, ControlNET network and network connection devices, And the composition of devices such as printers. The process control level completes the operation guidance, job management, model calculation, technical calculation, data processing, preparation of various production reports, storage, and interface for data communication with other computers in the production process. It mainly consists of two process computer servers, two PC client computers (operation terminals), one historical station server, and a printer. The server, client, and printer are connected to the basic automation level through Ethernet, forming the entire blast furnace process control computer system. The entire process control computer system reserves interfaces for future development of blast furnace expert systems and communication interfaces with the entire plant management computer system.
