In order to meet the needs of control and management, as well as the rationality and economy of automation system equipment, this blast furnace automation system adopts a DCS automatic control system, and reserves an interface for superior computer data communication. Based on the process situation and control requirements, we have chosen Honeywell’s new and powerful Experience Process Knowledge System (PKS) control system to monitor and control the new 2 # blast furnace system of Ansteel, enabling safe and stable production of the blast furnace, and quickly reaching or exceeding design indicators, creating greater benefits for Ansteel.
The PKS system, as the latest open control system launched by HONEYWELL company, uses WINDOWS2000 as the operating system, including the newly designed Hybrid Controller (HYBRID Controller) CPM and Real Time Control Network (ControlNET), as well as advanced engineering tools and application software packages, becoming the standard for the new generation of systems.
2 System Requirements 2.1 System Reliability In order to ensure safe, continuous, and stable production of the blast furnace, the power supply, CPU, network communication interface module of the control station, network communication interface module of the operator station, real-time data communication network, and network interface are all redundant configurations, and all control modules of the control station can be plugged and unplugged with power; The operator station can serve as a backup for each other.
