As shown in Figure 2, the hybrid controller consists of a rack, power supply, control processing module (CPM), control net interface, redundant module, and input output module. It can also include an optional battery expansion module. The rack consists of 5 specifications -4 slots, 7 slots, 10 slots, 13 slots, 17 slots, etc. All modules can be plugged and unplugged with power. The control processor module is dual width and occupies two rack slots. The processor is a 100MHZ PowerPC603E with 8M bytes of EDAC memory. CPM supports both non redundant and redundant configurations. 4M bytes of memory with parity correction.
