HIMA’s HIMax security controller has obtained a new network security certification certificate issued by T Å V Rhein. The HIMax processor and communication card have been tested and fully meet the requirements of international standards IEC 62443-4-1, IEC 62443-4-2, and ISASecure EDSA 2.0.0.
This certificate is obtained based on rigorous testing and evaluation of network security requirements throughout the entire lifecycle of the security controller, proving that HIMax fully meets the requirements of SL 1 security level.
In today’s increasingly frequent environment of cybercrime, the integration of higher functional security (up to SIL 3) and cybersecurity (SL 1) into the same system enables HIMax to provide optimal comprehensive protection of personnel, equipment, and the environment.
As the head of HIMA’s R&D and product management department, Dr. Alexander Horch said: We are pleased to be one of the earliest companies worldwide to obtain new network security certification certificates from T Å V Rheinland institutions. Obtaining certification from authoritative institutions is usually a long and complex process, often occupying a lot of resources. However, since our security controller itself can meet many necessary security requirements, the process of obtaining certification is relatively simple. This also objectively proves that our security control At the beginning of its design, the controller attached great importance to network security. The rapid passing of certification is a high recognition for us and also benefits our customers, as network security features are an integral part of the HIMax security system and exist at all levels including engineering, hardware, operating system, and network
