Description
HIMA-F8627X has two subtypes. The first subtype is the current leakage protection relay and the other type is the overload protection relay.
HIMA-F8627X always carry arms. Two magnets are placed on top of each other. They have a hole in the centre. This electrical switch is magnetised by two electromagnets.
The first electromagnet is connected in series with the live phase, while the other electromagnet is connected in series with the neutral phase. If the current through the two electromagnets is the same, the heater is balanced.
However, if the current through the second electromagnet is less than the current through the first electromagnet, the second electromagnet will be pulled towards the first electromagnet with the greater magnetic field. How does this happen? Easily, if there is somehow a large amount of current flowing to the earth armature.
Very common relays are used in electric motor applications and in all electrical installations. These relays do not have a solenoid to operate an electrical switch. Instead, they have a bimetal strip through which current flows.
The material and thickness of this strip is carefully selected so that it heats up (and therefore bends) above a certain current value.
When the bimetal strip is bent, the relay cuts off the power supply. For safety reasons, the relay can only be reset mechanically by manually moving the lever.
