Description

GE VMIVME-2540 Datasheet

GE VMIVME-2540′ s Rule Verification Checker now supports programmable program writing with the Roggex development environment provided by Rockwell Automation. The PLC Checker improves the readability, maintainability, and robustness of PLC programs through its unique ability to automatically verify compliance with coding rules, naming and structuring specifications, and programming standards. It replaces manual proofreading of programs, which can take a long time, thus enabling industrial users of PLCS to systematically adopt coding standards and ensure the consistency of their programs.PLC Checker is commonly used in contractual relationships, where it is a key factor in determining quality objectives. Using PLC Checker, contractors demonstrate the quality of their projects with one of the most innovative solutions on the market. Industrial users of sustainable production systems benefit from a program that is easy to read and maintain, and can use the results of PLC inspections as formal, repeatable and detailed acceptance criteria. As a result, it is easy to use for projects that require no capital expenditure or maintenance. now extends its standard machine sequencing and motion control capabilities to triangular and ska-type robot mechanisms with kinematic conversion options. This eliminates the need for specialized robot controllers, associated software, and handshaking routines in applications that require robots to handle parts handling tasks. Since the robot is controlled in the same controller, the robot’s motion can be closely coordinated with non-robotic motion such as conveyors and other motion mechanisms.

GE VMIVME-2540 can fast scan times of up to 2048 I/OS, over 2mb of operands and memory, a variety of HMI touchscreens, and effortless local and remote I/O installation. Simple or complex, large or small, a single stream can be customized for virtually any application. Users simply select their preferred HMI, flash on the CPU, and then flash on the preferred I/OS to create an all-in-one controller. This allows the user to select the exact configuration of the device that suits their precise application needs. Single Studio software, the programming environment for hardware configuration, control and HMI, reduces programming time by up to 50 percent by anticipating the programmer’s intent and allowing reuse of written code. Programmers can be allowed to build a library of user-defined function blocks and HMI screens that can be imported into any new project or even shared with others. The software’s wizards save a great deal of time in defining I/O points, PEDS, etc. Drag and drop, automatic line creation and the option to reuse existing code make programming fast and easy. Joint graphics libraries and HMI widgets enable programmers to build HMI screens designed for graphic artists. Unified Streaming supports RS485, Canadian Campbell, as well as Serial and Ethernet MODBUS. The platform can also accommodate third-party protocols; USB host and serial ports support external devices such as modems, printers, barcode readers, etc. The USB device also allows the user to connect to the USB port and the serial port to support external devices such as modems, printers, and barcode readers.
