Description
GE UR6AH offers end-users and OEMs increased I/O counts, faster high-speed counters and pulse train outputs (PTOs), and upgraded networking capabilities. This new controller collection has up to 38 integrated I/O counters and can support up to 7 additional I/O modules, allowing for up to 144 discrete I/O points. Additional features consist of up to six built-in 100 kHz high-speed counters and removable terminal blocks.
Customer demand has highlighted the necessity for a cost-effective controller that offers enhanced control and communication. The GE UR6AH controller features an embedded Ethernet port and two serial ports with advanced communication protocols, rendering it an invaluable solution across multiple applications. Rockwell Automation, the primary provider of power, control and information solutions for industrial automation, supports manufacturers in achieving a competitive edge in their business.
The GE UR6AH can support a maximum of 10,000 program words and 10,000 data words. It also includes memory modules for program backup and transfer, as well as data logging and record storage. The BENTLY 350033 149986-01 controller is highly suitable for general industrial machinery applications, air conditioning, and building automation, as well as machines used for food and beverage manufacturing. The GE UR6AH controller has six variants available, with three without embedded analogue I/O in the US and six with embedded analogue I/O in the US for the remaining three variants.
The integrated drive system approach enables selection of the drive system components during development. Energy efficiency is increased mainly through optimizing the pulse pattern, alongside the new transmission fan design and internal power supply module. The magnetic flux in the motor can be adjusted to the current load conditions or an energy-saving standby mode, further reducing energy consumption depending on the operational mode.
New safety features have been introduced in the power modules to enhance process reliability. One such feature is the “safe torch-off” (sto) safety function. This safety function effectively switches off the power module without requiring the main switch to be turned off. Additionally, the “Safe Station 1” (SS1) function enables the drive to reduce speed to zero before shutting down. Both safety features adhere to SIL3 safety integrity standards and are fully integratable into the controller.
