GE IC693CPU374 can be used in the latter two ways, the PLC will be directly connected to the 485 interface of the wireless digital transmission module; or the use of PC/PPI cables compatible with the PLC will be converted from the PLC’s 485 interface to a 232 interface, and then connected to the 232 interface of the wireless digital transmission module.

The communication port of GE IC693CPU374 series PLC supports a variety of communication protocols, two of which can be used here. One is the Siemens PPI master-slave protocol, using this protocol master can directly to the slave, that is, the PLC in the control system, send commands to control the slave’s various ports and functions.

GE IC693CPU374 is simple to program and does not require modification of the original slave program. However, the PPI protocol is not a public protocol, in the literature [4] mentioned a serial port listening to obtain the PPI protocol so as to use the master programming to control the slave way.
