Early relative strength of cement is relatively low in some industrialized countries such as Europe and America. They began to improve the early strength of cement and concrete as early as thirty or forty years ago. Generally, high early strength clinker and cement are referred to as high activity clinker and cement, which means the speed of strength development. High activity cement not only has high early strength, but also requires low water requirement for standard consistency, appropriate setting time, and usually controls the initial setting at around 2 hours and final setting at around 3 hours. The hydration heat should not be too high, which depends on a series of process technologies to achieve. Germany also has a control index for the standard early strength of concrete specimens with different grades of cement, which is listed in Table 2.
The actual early strength of cement produced by German cement factories is also higher than the early strength values of concrete in Table 2. The relative value of general 3D intensity is 53% to 62% for 32.5, up to 76% for early strength type, 52% to 68% for 42.5, and 73% to 84% for 52.5. Table 3 lists the strength values of several types of cement, with the last two being the cement produced by the 5000t/d pre decomposition kiln of R ü dersdorf Cement Plant in 1995. Among them, the compressive strength of 52.5R type cement reached 28.1MPa after 16 hours.
