The GE 8910-PS-DC enables field networks to be set up quickly and efficiently. windows 8 embedded and Intel i3 processors provide up to 32 interpolated axes. The dynamic multi-operating system architecture ensures continuous protection of current processes and long-term investment security. EtherMeth is a robust network that is internationally established and used by numerous component suppliers. The controller supports the Common Association for Science and Technology (CAN over ether-cat) profile and is therefore compatible with almost all drives supported by ether. the XC600 is also an IP-based controller.

Therefore, the GE 8910-PS-DC no longer needs to have an industrial PC for visualisation, logging protocols or statistics. the core of the i3 Intel processor has two cores of 1.8 GHz each, a 4GB Ddr3 Ram and a 32GB Solid State Disk (SSD). another advantage of the GE 8910-PS-DC is the VXOKY Machine Controller. The real-time operating system and Windows 8 Embedded run in parallel to facilitate visualisation and communication. The real-time hypervisor ensures reliable serial operation. It divides the processor’s performance and concentrates real-time processes in one core.

Avoiding switching times, the operating systems are reliably separated from each other. For example, it is possible to restart Windows without problems while the system continues to run. Even changes to later versions do not affect VX work. The real-time system returns to a safe machine state in the event of an error. Thus, the VX plant provides a stable platform for many years of the machine’s life cycle. The controller is supplied in “Book-PC” format.

The GE 8910-PS-DC controller can be easily and quickly parameterised on a PC. The integrated web server facilitates simple visualisation and operation.The GE 8910-PS-DC also offers a variety of interfaces for connecting peripheral devices: DVI/VGA and USB interfaces, a 4x1GB Ethernet connection, seven USB ports, and serial interfaces for a variety of applications.

Adjacent devices can be placed directly next to the controller – even in very flat switchgear cabinets.
