Description

GE 8851-LC-MT Multi-Wireless Sensors

The GE 8851-LC-MT is intended to be a direct replacement for larger quarter-brick modules (same pinout and function). The converter has an input voltage of 38-60Vdc (nominal 48Vdc), an output of 12Vdc, and a power rating of 200 W. The output trim range is +/- 10%. The converter has a full load efficiency of 94% and can be used over a wide ambient temperature range (with derating). The open frame design also provides an optional base plate for applications where conduction cooling is required or preferred. The module complies with DOSA dimensional and interface standards.

The GE 8851-LC-MT basic insulation requirements are flammable to UL94 V-0 rating. The module meets all typical industry requirements including no load operation and 80V/100mS input voltage transients. Other features include: fixed frequency operation, auto-restart OVP, OCP and OTP protection, UVLO and remote sensing. Remote on/off is standard and offers positive or negative logic options. The module can send sensor data over long distances to a remote LoRaWAN gateway in harsh RF environments and, with the added benefit of BLE connectivity options, can send sensor data to smartphones and tablets for local configuration, control or data visualization.

The GE 8851-LC-MT module has a standard 8-brick pin arrangement and measures 2.3 inches long x 0.9 inches wide (58.4 mm x 22.9 mm). With a maximum height of 11.8 mm (0.465 in.), it accommodates tight card spacing while minimizing airflow obstruction to downstream components. The base plate version for conduction cooling applications has an industry standard height of 0.50 in. The sensor platform is designed for a variety of uses, including greenhouses, grain storage, cold chain monitoring, cooling tanks, or any application that requires continuous monitoring and reporting of temperature fluctuations, humidity, and other key metrics throughout the facility.
