When using frequency converters for variable pole motors, full attention should be paid to selecting the capacity of the frequency converter so that its maximum rated current is below the rated output current of the frequency converter. In addition, when performing pole number conversion during operation, the motor should be stopped first, otherwise it may cause the motor to spin and damage the frequency converter in harsh conditions. When driving explosion-proof motors, the frequency converter does not have explosion-proof construction and should be set outside of hazardous areas.
