Fault symptom: No display
Fault analysis: The high-voltage DC supply of the frequency converter is normal, there is no display on the panel, and there is no voltage on the control circuit of the frequency converter, indicating that the switch power supply circuit is not working properly.
Fault cause: The frequency converter was damaged by UC3844, resulting in a high output current, causing the switch tube to be in a long-term conduction state. Long term overcurrent caused the switch tube to be damaged.
Fault handling: The voltage on the drain electrode of the detection switch K1317 is normal, and it is measured that there is no pulse signal on the control electrode, but only one DC voltage. This indicates that the output signal of UC3844 is abnormal. Upon inspection, UC3844 has been damaged, and the switch tube K1317 is also damaged. Replace the damaged components to ensure normal operation.
Fault analysis: After the frequency converter is powered on, there is no display on the panel, but the high-voltage LED indicator light is on. There is no low-voltage DC power supply for the frequency converter, the switch power supply is normal, and no short circuit, open circuit, or open circuit phenomenon was found in the DC circuit. That’s where the fault will occur. Later, the most clumsy method – substitution method – was used to replace the T1 transformer with a new one. During the power on test, there was indeed DC voltage, indicating that the T1 transformer was damaged.
Fault cause: Due to the aging and damage of the transformer after several years of use of the frequency converter.
