The pneumatic control valves of our first phase two units were originally equipped with traditional mechanical positioners and independent position feedback devices. The equipment has low control accuracy and poor reliability. The mechanical positioners use screws to adjust the spring tension to adjust the zero point and full degree, and their mechanical structure is easily affected by vibration. During operation, there have been multiple malfunctions of the positioners or feedback devices, which have affected the stability of various systems. During the early maintenance period of the unit, The main adjustable pneumatic actuator controller has been modified, transforming the mechanical split positioner into a three in one intelligent controller. This modification work can not only greatly improve equipment reliability and control accuracy, but also greatly reduce defects that occur during unit operation.
After the renovation is completed, the most widely used digital pneumatic actuator locator installed on site in our factory is the Penglin D3 digital locator. The Penglin D3 digital pneumatic actuator locator consists of two parts: the circuit part and the air circuit part. The faults are mostly caused by the air circuit part, and the circuit part rarely fails. Our factory has only experienced one locator failure due to abnormal circuit parts. The pneumatic block in the locator, also known as the electrical conversion part, is a consumable product. Its main material, diaphragm and sealing parts, are rubber products with a certain service life. Long term use of the diaphragm and sealing parts can cause aging, especially when encountering water, oil, etc., which can accelerate the aging of the diaphragm and sealing parts in the pneumatic block. The failure of the pneumatic block is the primary cause of locator failure in our factory, especially for some frequently operated pneumatic control valves. Continuous high load work for a long time will accelerate the aging of the pneumatic block.
