DCS application
The Sorensen DCS series (hereinafter referred to as the DCS series) is the most ideal choice for various applications that require small waveform factor DC power supplies. Its main applications include manufacturing testing and aging testing of automotive components, avionics, telecommunications, and consumer products, as well as beam control, process control, and laboratory research and development testing.
The DCS series includes three power ranges: 1kW, 1.2kW, and 3kW. It uses switching technology to achieve high power density and low aspect ratio chassis. This design platform provides a highly reliable power supply that can be used continuously for many years. This unique design is suitable for power supplies with low ripple and noise in various ranges (voltage range: 8V to 600V; current range: 1.7A to 350A).
The user interface can be controlled through the 10 position potentiometer on the front panel to set voltage, current, and overvoltage protection.
The LCD display screen indicates the status of over temperature, programming, shutdown, and overvoltage protection.
Full computer control can be achieved through programming options such as IEEE-488 (M9C option), Ethernet LAN compatible with LXI standard * (M130 option), or RS-232 (M9C, M130 option).
Automotive component testing
The 16 bit resolution Ethernet programming and hardware triggering provide detailed process testing related to battery fluctuation simulation. The DCS series has strong load adjustment performance, making it a power supply suitable for automotive component verification, acceptance testing, and aging testing. Especially the 20V model can be used for testing a complete set of simulated battery conditions. The limit testing of components with rated values of 12V and 14V (such as electronic control units (ECU) and electromechanical components) is easy to achieve.
