CON021 9200-00006N Optical isolation is accomplished by a photocoupling device. Its input is configured to emit light, and the output is configured to receive light, so that the input and output are electrically completely isolated. As the input impedance of the photocoupler (100Ω ~ 1kΩ) and the general impedance of the interference source (105 ~ 106Ω) is relatively small.

The CON021 9200-00006N photocoupler isolates the input signal from the internal circuit, or isolates the internal output signal from the external circuit, as shown in Figure 1. After the switching input circuit is connected to the photocoupler, the various interference pulses mixed in the input switching quantity are blocked on one side of the input circuit due to the isolation effect of the photocoupler. Since the photocoupler is not a direct coupling of the input side and the output side of the electrical signals, but the light as a medium for coupling, has a high degree of electrical isolation and anti-jamming ability.

so the voltage distributed in the photocoupler at the input of the interference voltage is small, it can provide the current is not large, it is not easy to make the semiconductor diode light. In addition, the isolation resistance of the photocoupler is very large (about 1012Ω), the isolation capacitance is very small (about a few pF), so it can prevent the electromagnetic interference generated by the circuit sexual coupling, the controlled equipment is difficult to feed back to the input system of various types of interference.
