Description
CI858K01 3BSE018135R1 Synchronised Protocol Converter
The module’s up to four different network protocols can be active at any one time for applications with multiple vendor controllers. This synchronised protocol functionality allows the module to act as a protocol converter, data concentrator and gateway to seamlessly share data with different PLC manufacturers, motion controllers, servos, etc. These units include CUL Class I Design Information II, CE certification. Standard interfaces for most of the units include USB, RS232, RS422, RS485, Siemens Direct MPI serial interface, compact flash port and 10/100 Ethernet. the USB host port allows easy connection to barcode readers, printers and a wide range of peripheral devices. Up to four different network protocols can be active at any time for multiple vendor controller applications.
The CI858K01 3BSE018135R1 simplifies installation, improves the reliability of natural gas measurements, and eliminates the need for third-party fabrication of wiring harnesses or in-house fabrication of wiring harnesses. The module combines measurement and control in one device, reducing equipment costs. At the same time, the system is fully factory tested and maintained, virtually eliminating downtime due to equipment failure. The module is fully CSA/US Class 1, Designer 2 certified, enabling it to be safely installed at the measurement site. The system also eliminates the need for third-party termination boxes, reducing costs and saving significant labour time. the XL unit can further reduce costs by accepting one or two safety interface barriers (sibs) for connecting up to six ThermoScience automated/intelligent multivariable transmitters; this can increase the number of instrument runs while making the purchase of an additional flow computer unnecessary. The equipment is supported by Thermo Fisher’s long legacy of high quality instrumentation and complete factory test procedures, reducing field failures and associated downtime.
Other key features of the CI858K01 3BSE018135R1 include.
32-bit processor for faster calculations and enhanced flow measurement
Built-in Ethernet and USB connectivity enables high-speed data transfer and easier integration of the device into corporate networks.
Up to 16 expandable analogue inputs ensure scalability of station-wide control and eliminate the need for platform upgrades.
Expandable communications (up to 8 sets of RS232/RS485) allows simultaneous communication with a wide range of devices, including ultrasonic meters, host systems, PLCS, tank meters and more.
enhances security by allowing unlimited passwords with four levels of security.
The Autopilot is designed for companies involved in the transmission or production of natural gas. The unit is an extended version of the Autopilot Pro End/Rtu, including the same features and functionality as the Autopilot Pro E-End/Rtu.
