CC-IP0101 I/O Expander

The CC-IP0101 updates the p-Series Bear Bones Open Board Controller, Dedicated Function Expander and I/O Expander with the same footprint as the original 1980 Bear Bones, making the p-Series Bear Bones a mechanical replacement. The P-Series Bear Bones controller provides control functions including digital and analogue I/O, CAN network communications via optical, J1939 and NMEMA2000, MOBUS trade agreement Ethernet, LCD display, keypad and real time clock. The digital I/O capabilities of the P-Series Bear Bones can be expanded through plug-in I/O expanders.

Each I/O expander provides an additional 8 digital inputs and 8 digital outputs and provides AC or DC I/O. Up to 31 I/O expanders can be connected to a single controller. Typical applications for the series include material handling, machine control, remote position monitoring and control, and engine-driven pumps, compressors and generators.The P-Series Bear Bones controllers are based on the second generation of PLCs on a chip, making the controllers easy to program using the DeWeese Ladder Toolkit, a PC-based software that supports ladder diagrams, function blocks and structured text programming. The controllers have AC or DC power supplies and I/Os.

The modules are made of self-extinguishing thermoplastic material, which is structurally sound, mechanically robust, yet cheaper than standard aluminium housings. Currently standard 06, 10, 16 and 24 size housings are available.
