ABB UFC718AE01 HIEE300936R0101 can add up to 63 I/O expansion modules. This gives the FC6A plus the ability to handle up to 2,060 I/Os and up to 511 analogue I/Os.The module also includes an optional Bluetooth wireless communication adapter that allows the user to monitor the PLC and download/upload programs from any Bluetooth enabled PC or laptop. This eliminates the need to store, locate and connect cables to the PLC for these tasks and provides access to the PLC from a distance of up to 10 metres. In addition, any Bluetooth enabled device, such as a barcode reader, can also be configured to communicate with the PLC. Allows users to configure the FC6A+ as an FTP client or server to transfer programmes and recorded data between the server and the PLC, providing a means of communicating remotely with the PLC. Up to 16 users can be managed simultaneously and access folders can also be managed. Files can be stored in the PLC or logged onto the PLC’s SD memory card for transfer to an FTP server. All models have two built-in rj45 Ethernet ports.

These can be downloaded for free from the Apple App Store or Google Play. Browser-based access is also included.
