ABB PFEA112-20 3BSE050091R20 PROCESSOR

The key to programming is to identify its starting and stopping conditions. According to the basic rules of conversion implementation, the condition for conversion implementation is that its previous step is an active step and the corresponding conversion conditions are met. Therefore, the condition for step Mi to become an active step is that Mi-1 is an active step and the conversion condition Xi=1. In the ladder diagram, the normally open contacts of Mi-1 and Xi should be connected in series as the starting circuit for controlling Mi, as shown in Figure 5-27b. When Mi and Xi 1 are both in the “l” state, step Mi 1 becomes an active step, and then step Mi becomes an inactive step. Therefore, Mi 1=1 can be used as a condition to change Mi to the “0” state, that is, the normally closed contact of Mi 1 is connected in series with the coil of Mi. SET and RST commands can also be used to replace the “start stop circuit”, as shown in Figure 5-27c.
This programming method only uses instructions related to contacts and coils, and any PLC instruction system has this type of instruction. Therefore, it is called the programming method using universal instructions and can be applied to any type of PLC.
