Description
A-B 1756-TBCH A ControlLogix
A-B 1756-TBCH A has three A/D acquisition IP modules for easy capture and movement of data. Each IP module can receive data from any of the three A/DS or test signal generators. A powerful linked-list DMA engine moves A/D data through the PCE interface in a unique capture gate drive mode. In this mode, the length of the transfer performed through the link definition does not need to be known prior to data acquisition; instead, it is governed by the acquisition gate length. This is extremely useful for applications where external gates drive acquisition and the exact length of the gate is unknown or may change. In each A/D acquisition IP module, there is a powerful DDCIP core. Due to the flexible input routing of the A/D acquisition IP modules, many different configurations are possible, including one A/D driving two DDCs or two A/DS driving their own DDCs. With traditional control systems, field wiring must be sorted in ganged cabinets before connecting to the main I/O module terminal strips in the DCS panel. This is an inflexible approach that often results in expensive overhead costs. But because the I/A Series intelligent grouping solution features a universal fieldbus module, a configurable I/O module that supports a wide range of analogue and digital signal types, it eliminates the need for grouping altogether.
With real-time access to critical plant and enterprise data, users are able to better balance competing strategic objectives and personnel related to control, assets, environment and safety to optimise their overall operations and achieve business excellence. The A-B 1756-TBCH A provides analogue control software 3.0 applications for fast, high quality system checks without the need for control hardware. Simulation features include dynamic control of time, alarms and trends using the same profiles used in the real-time I/A series of DCS. The software also provides an on-the-fly interface for simulating plant operation with the company’s Sims-Scott-Deemsim, Fox-Fox-Foxim and Trix-Trixim dynamic simulation engines, with DCS or simulated DCS behaviour and response.A-B 1756-TBCH A embeds the company’s Achetera system platform and marvellous software in the I/A Series system, applying common object technology from process control to business system level to any third-party system. This enables users to integrate their devices, systems, databases and software applications. In addition, enhanced integration with Incsys’ latest state-of-the-art software applications, including mobile workforce management and workflow products, provides additional system flexibility, adaptability and responsiveness, helping to reduce the total cost of ownership.
