5501-470 Communication Link Framework

The 5501-470 connects to PLCs of many brands such as SIEMENS, BECKHOFF or ROCKWELL via the relevant communication protocols. The TX VisuPro software also enables MQTT or OPC-UA communication. Through the support of various communication protocols, these devices can realise data exchange between different controllers or control terminals.

The 5501-470 series has been developed according to the hygienic design standard (DIN EN 1672-2, EHEDG/FDA 21 CFR 177.2006) and uses a polyester-coated stainless steel front panel. The front panels are IP69K rated for sealing and waterproofing in environments up to 80°C and are also resistant to acids and a wide range of chemicals.

With a screen brightness of up to 800 Cd/m², the 5501-470 series is particularly suitable for outdoor applications. The displays are manufactured using a special “Liquid Optical Cohesive Adhesive (LOCA)” technology, which is used in the screen manufacturing process to reduce the reflection and refraction of light to ensure excellent display contrast and brightness. In addition, the all-metal casing of these devices and the coating-protected circuit boards are designed to ensure stability in mechanical shock environments.
