ABB collaborates with Hitachi Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. to assist mining operators in achieving net zero emissions of mining machinery
Recently, ABB and Hitachi Construction signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at promoting solutions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from heavy mining machinery to the market as soon as possible by strengthening technical exchanges and joint research.
As the key content of this cooperation, both parties will explore the application prospects of ABB electrification, automation, and digital solutions on Hitachi Construction Machinery mining trucks and excavators, helping mining operators achieve electrification of the entire production and transportation process from mines to ports. OEM manufacturer Hitachi Jianji will also provide unmanned driving and manpower saving technology. By complementing their advantages, these solutions can improve the efficiency and flexibility of customer business, promote energy conservation, emission reduction, and sustainable social development.
