3500/42M Dual-layer fibre optic ring network


The 3500/42M control system is divided into 11 control stations (EM stations) according to the principle of on-site electrical distribution, controlling the mixing system, unloading system, ore and coke screening system, raw material input system, raw material output system, and various equipments of the dust removal system. Each control station adopts a redundant PLC control system, which communicates with the central dispatching office through a double-layer double-fibre ring network to achieve equipment monitoring.

The 3500/42M system has more substations and a wide area, and the system requires high reliability, so redundancy is used in the network structure. Dual-layer fiber optic ring network consists of two parallel single-layer fiber optic ring networks, and the main network component adopts MOXA’s fiber optic to RJ45 port fiber optic ring switch. In addition to the transmission distance of the optical fibre network, the transmission signal is not easy to be interfered with, but also has the advantages of the ring network, in the ring network of any node disconnection or any point in the ring network disconnection, and will not affect the normal operation of the network.

3500/42M will not affect the normal operation of the network, but only by the original ring network into a single bus network structure, thus improving the reliability of the network. The double-layer ring network structure itself has the function of redundancy, making the network more reliable. The main basis is the geographical location of each device in the field, artificially dividing the whole system, so the inter-station data exchange at each control station will be very frequent and relatively important, so we connect the CPU Ethernet interface directly to the fibre optic switch.
