Emerson’s Deltav for System Connectivity Solution was used to seamlessly connect the new Deltav Operator Station to the existing Pöyry controllers and I/O. The Deltav Connectivity Solution is an interface designed to communicate with the labels in the Pöyry process control unit, allowing operators to perform the same tasks from the Deltav Operator Station as from the Pöyry console. The system is installed and commissioned with no downtime, redundancy is enabled and no modifications to the Pöyry DCS are required.

The enable signal Q can only be reset to 1 when the other push-button is released, if both push-buttons are restarted within the difference time of the existing enable=1.
In accordance with the safety standards, the 3500-15 127610-01 requires two separate pushbuttons, the distance between which is also defined in the standards. You also need an enabling signal for the double hand pressure function to work, this enabling signal can be a safety signal such as an emergency or safety gate, or it can be a normal signal such as the presence of a piece of something to be worked on, or it can be a combination of both.
