The 1C31224G01 has an embedded Ethernet switch. The embedded switch provides network connectivity for additional devices, eliminating the need for a separate Ethernet switch. For those using Ethernet/IP, the DLS topology provides a fault-tolerant connection that can detect outages in the network and redirect traffic to maintain communications and system uptime. The Ethernet encoder is supplied in a 60mm diameter package and can be supplied with either a flange or servo mount style. There are three M12 connectors to provide power and network connections, with a choice of end or side connection versions.

The 1C31224G01 network encoder is resolver based and provides absolute position feedback without glass discs or sensitive LED components, enabling it to withstand high levels of shock and vibration. the IP67 rated package is designed to address both single and multi-turn positional applications that require protection from ingress of dirt and water. Solid shafts and axles are also available to suit a variety of applications.
