The size and power range of the 1C31227G01, coupled with PLC functionality, make the Vacon 20 solution a packager application. It is available in all common voltages (110-600V) and power ranges up to 18.5 kW/25 hp. Because the performance of the packaging machine is highly dependent on the performance of the AC drive, it is designed to reduce cycle times and provide maximum control. A built-in interface provides a serial control interface to the drive. With optional modules, connections can be made to virtually any communication system, including CANBLOD, fieldbus, DEICENET and PROFIBUSDP.

Easily accessible terminals, built-in DIN rail mounting and the MCA parameter copying tool, the 1C31227G01 can be cloned to set up drives without primary power, all of which help reduce start-up time. The ability to customise functions gives OEMs the opportunity to build their own control logic into the drive and utilise unused drive I/O for other machine-related tasks. In addition, parameter lists can be freely modified and application-specific parameter sets and default settings can be created.
