With the acceleration of urbanization, the modernization and intelligence of urban planning and management have become more urgent and important. TRICONEX 3564 is located in densely populated large and medium-sized cities, surrounded by intricate streets and alleys, rows of skyscrapers, flying bridges, and various pipe networks. Faced with such a large and complex management system, the current management methods have clearly fallen behind the process of urbanization, especially the management mode of urban transportation system can no longer adapt to the rapid development of society. At present, many countries and cities have begun to try and develop digital urban management systems. China has also made varying degrees of attempts and discussions in cities such as Hangzhou, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou in this regard, especially in the area of intelligent transportation systems, and has achieved preliminary results.
Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) is a comprehensive transportation management system established by effectively integrating advanced information technology, TRICONEX 3564 data communication transmission technology, electronic sensing technology, electronic control technology, and computer processing technology into the entire ground traffic management system, which plays a role in a large scale, all-round, real-time, accurate, and efficient manner. It realizes the organic combination of people, vehicles, and roads, achieves the immediacy, dynamism, and automation of information services, thereby improving the quality and efficiency of the transportation system, enhancing the reliability and safety of the system, reducing energy consumption and pollution to nature, and other purposes.
With the rapid development of various technologies, the feasibility of implementing an intelligent urban transportation system has been established. Based on existing technologies, this paper explores the architecture, key technologies required, and feasibility of implementing an intelligent urban transportation system.
2. Intelligent urban transportation system
The intelligent urban transportation system utilizes GIS to generate dynamic electronic maps of urban transportation and establishes corresponding dynamic databases. Through wired or wireless networks, it enables long-distance information browsing and management, providing real-time information services for traffic participants. Imagine integrating increasingly intelligent computers, highly developed network systems, and gradually complete urban electronic maps, with the assistance of RS, GPS, sensing technology, and high-sensitivity microwave radar, to establish a complete intelligent system. By installing this system on major transportation vehicles and facilities, drivers can gradually be liberated from the heavy cab, reduce the occurrence of traffic accidents, and improve traffic efficiency. Of course, this will also save a lot of manpower, material resources, and financial resources.
2.1 Composition of intelligent transportation system
The intelligent transportation system mainly consists of three aspects, namely road intelligence, vehicle intelligence, and road system intelligence. The detailed content is shown in Figure 1.
Among them, the intelligence of roads refers to the digitization, electronicization, and automation of roads, including the construction of road sensor equipment, intelligent control systems, intelligent toll collection systems, vehicle diversion systems, command and supervision systems, etc; The intelligentization of vehicles refers to equipping them with advanced intelligent computers and network systems, enabling them to have functions such as positioning, navigation, collision avoidance, autonomous driving, and dynamic updating of map libraries; The intelligence of road systems refers to the construction of dynamic traffic database systems, intelligent demand management systems, intelligent information query systems, emergency rescue activation systems, etc., in order to provide real-time traffic information for traffic participants, facilitate drivers to view traffic conditions and choose driving routes.
2.2 Intelligent Urban Transportation System Architecture
In the intelligent urban transportation system, vehicles, roads, and road systems rely on and are interconnected through wireless and wired networks. The system structure is shown in Figure 2. Among them, wireless network technology is crucial, as it involves timely updating of dynamic electronic maps, acquisition and transmission of relevant information. Once problems arise, it will cause lag in the entire system. The road system will provide information support for intelligent vehicles and roads, and the quality of various information and management databases directly affects the operational performance of the entire system. The construction of digital and intelligent roads will be a reflection of whether the intelligent urban transportation system is advanced, especially the performance of sensors on the road directly affects the feasibility and safety of system operation.
