GE’s steam cycle solution package is based on over 30 years of boiler operation and regulation experience, committed to improving boiler combustion efficiency and providing continuous and stable steam production.
In addition to providing advanced conventional control strategies such as three impulse steam drum water level and air/steam flow, the plan also provides advanced control strategies. In addition, the plan includes multiple boiler coordinated balancing algorithms, as shown in the following figure. Each boiler control command has a bias, which can adjust the output of each boiler and coordinate the overall output requirements. Each boiler master command regulates fuel and air.
Overview of Boiler Process
The fuel falls from the coal hopper to the front of the grate. As the grate moves, the coal is preheated, dried, ignited, and burned. The slag falls into the slag hopper and is discharged from the furnace at any time by the slag removal machine. The furnace arch adopts a herringbone shaped arch to improve the ignition conditions. The flue gas forms a vortex at the throat between the front and rear arches, fully mixes and burns with air, and then enters the two wing flues. It enters the threaded flue pipe through the front smoke box, passes through the cast iron economizer (hot water boilers do not have cast iron economizers) dust collector, and is discharged from the induced draft fan to the chimney.
