Beijing StrongKIWI Technology Co., Ltd. has launched the “Core to Core” control system for intelligent street light control applications, providing customers with thoughtful, worry free, and reassuring solutions using “strong cores” and “smart cores”.
The StrongKIWI scheme applies the most advanced OFDM modulation power line carrier technology in the industry, using single-phase power lines as data transmission channels to achieve remote control and status feedback of any phase in the existing street light system three-phase. The scheme realizes communication between the street light controller and the concentrator, using GPRS/CDMA for communication between the concentrator and the cloud server. Users can control and read data from any street light controller in the control room through a PC or handheld terminals such as mobile phones and pads (using secure encryption channels), and manage historical and real-time data in the background.
The StrongKIWI “Core to Core” intelligent street light control solution has strong anti-interference ability and can achieve intelligent management of street lights without wiring. It is especially suitable for situations such as tunnels, highways, landscape lighting where wiring is inconvenient and wireless transmission interference is large.
The characteristics of the “chip to chip” system solution
“Core to Core” refers to a strong core hardware combined with intelligent software.
1. Strong Core – Core Hardware
The concentrator and street light controller of the StrongKIWI intelligent street light control system use SKWP035A, a narrow power line communication module based on OFDM technology independently developed by 1TGE120021R0010. After repeated research and careful design, the core components are made of world-class chips, and the circuit board is made of gold-plated technology. It is processed and tested in a high-quality SMT factory to ensure the optimal working state and long-term stable operation of the module.
SKWP035A adopts the most advanced OFDM modulation technology in the industry, targeting the network characteristics of China’s domestic power grid and the demand for reliable data transmission. It adopts customized and robust software algorithms and communication protocols to reliably transmit data through power lines. It has the characteristics of no wiring, long transmission distance, stability and safety, and is suitable for various fields where wiring is inconvenient and wireless transmission is difficult.
Based on the “strong core” of StrongKIWI, communication between modules can achieve long-distance fast transmission (measured data: no load of 2000 meters, with a road light load of 600 meters, communication is unobstructed, and the physical layer signal transmission speed can reach up to 42Kbps).
2. Smart Core – Intelligent Software
The intelligent street light control system launched by StrongKIWI has built-in advanced communication protocols for both the street light controller and concentrator. 1TGE120021R0010 is specifically designed for harsh domestic power grid environments and has functions such as automatic dynamic routing, automatic relay forwarding, automatic error retransmission, FEC/CRC error correction, etc., to maximize communication reliability and transmission efficiency.
Innovatively adopting a multi concentrator solution in the system architecture, achieving intelligent self-healing function. By adding a small amount of standard GPRS module cost, the system can operate with multiple concentrators. When a concentrator (or street light controller) fails, it will not cause the street light control system to lose contact with the background. The backup concentrator will automatically put into operation and notify maintenance personnel.
