Description

EMERSON A6824 Product Frame Interface Module

Process sensors capable of accepting up to 14 discrete and 20 universal/Hart analog inputs. Then, it can display sensor data on its 7-inch multi-color TTT screen, record data internally, perform mathematical calculations and alarm checks, and transmit the data to a PC or any control system through Ethernet/IP, Ethernet, RS232/485, MODBUS, ProFIFUS, or profinite digital communication links. Data can also be stored in external memory and inserted into USB or SD ports. In the event of a line failure, RSG45 continues to record data on the storage device and can download this data to the control system when communication is restored. It can work with all standard instruments, including 4-20mA, 4-20mA with Hart, voltage, RTD, thermocouple, pulse, frequency, and current, allowing existing instruments to be added to new control systems.

EMERSON A6824 is a Hart gateway feature that allows direct access to field devices connected to the unit from the PC configuration software without the need for additional Hart modems or loop interrupts. This allows for the configuration of on-site equipment to be completed from the control room. With this feature, detailed instrument health status is also available. An integrated network server provides browser based access through laptops, personal computers, smartphones, tablets, handheld maintenance devices, and other remote systems. The built-in advanced data manager includes mathematical packages, alarm functions, batch processing, and energy calculations. Batch processing software allows users to record and visualize process data. This energy package allows users to calculate the mass and energy flow in water and steam based on input variables such as flow rate, pressure, temperature, or temperature difference. Other energy calculations can also be performed on sugar based refrigeration media. It is a panel mounted device with an optional 316L stainless steel front panel and touch screen. Due to the touch screen options that prevent pollution, it meets the hygiene requirements of the food and beverage and life science industries. Has UL and ATES certification, complies with the protection and safety requirements of the International Committee on Information, Education, and Propaganda 60529 and 61010-1, and is available in the hazardous area version of ATEX.
