Description

ABB KP2500 Budget Advantage Module

The flat fascia makes this model ideal for the food and pharmaceutical industries. With IP66/IP65/NMA4X ratings these units are ideal for spraying/wiping applications in place. Models include:V130-J-1, V130-J-T20, V130-J-R34, V130-J-T34, V130-J-T6, V130-J-R22, V130-J-T22, V130-J-T38, V130-J-J-T24. Their PLC+HMI advantage gives the user the opportunity to work with minimal budget, programming time and wiring. With a wide variety of built-in and expandable I/O options, these units are capable of supporting up to 256 I/Os.

Configurations of the ABB KP2500 include digital and analogue inputs and outputs, high speed I/O, PT100/thermocouple capability and gravimetric load cells. I/O can be installed locally or remotely, from the controller up to 1000 metres. These power supplies are equipped with recipe functions, micro SD card storage for data logging and backup, full PLC cloning, etc. The system integrator can be relied on for a single, easy to use system. The system integrator can be relied on for a single device: the Vision 130 unit can support up to 24 auto-tuned 530 loops to control temperature, level and pressure. The graphical LCD, 2.4′ 128×64 pixel operator interface supports over 1024 user designed screens with 400 images per application, a 20-key keypad capable of displaying trend graphs, and a text string library. Internal memory stores 512K of application logic, 128K of fonts, and 256K of images, and communication options include Ethernet, cellular, and industrial protocols such as MODBUS, DF1 Slave, J1939, and CAN Open. In addition, the Vision 130 unit can be “taught” to communicate via virtually any ASCII protocol.

The controller is also capable of time-based and instant interrupts, making it ideal for “fast response” applications such as packaging machines. The free stand-alone Visible Logic software provides a user-friendly environment for hardware configuration, modular ladder application development and HMI design, including an industrial image library. The company also offers free technical support for all its products. The Vision 130 reduces overall system costs by minimising hardware requirements, saves cabinet space and, most importantly, eliminates the need for users to set up panel-plc communications. The free stand-alone Visible Logic software provides a user-friendly environment for hardware configuration, modular ladder application development and HMI design, including industrial image libraries.
