Description

ABB CP405 A0 1SAP500405R0001 Outsourced Input Module

The ABB CP405 A0 1SAP500405R0001 provides 1 thermocouple/pt100 input and 1 analogue input. Both models include additional digital I/OS —- up to 24 total I/O counts. The pilot can be set up using the on-board temperature/analogue inputs, as well as the analogue or geophone outputs (all on-board transistor outputs can be used as geophone outputs). The Jazz is also equipped with a full-featured HMI with a two-line LCD text display showing up to 60 user-designed screens and a 16-key keypad. The multilingual display supports over 15 languages and 20 graphical symbols.

Control and communication options make it flexible and functional from any “smart repeater” – 24K (virtual) ladder logic. Software features include interrupts, loops, maths, memory and comparison. Communication options include SMS text messaging, MODBUS networking and pc access via MODBUS or OPC. The Jazz PLC with temperature inputs is a great solution for any small machine that needs “smart” temperature control – RTC-based oven start-up, simple ramp and soak, simple multi-step programming and more. It’s also perfect for simple pressure cookers, rotary tables, home automation and other small to medium sized systems where every penny counts.

For systems that cannot easily tolerate downtime due to a single point of failure. The module uses hardware and software components to create a control system with redundant PACS capable of interfacing with a variety of I/O devices. This improves reliability in the event of an event related to a control switch failure by providing operational redundancy in the transfer of “fault-free” I/O control between the soft plc CPUs. The module consists of.
soft plc controller, configuration and use of Ethernet remote I/O (hardware components)
Software loadable hot standby firmware module (software component mounted on each software controller)
Soft plc arbiter
