1C31189G03 Compatible Drives
1C31189G03 Flexible user interface The user interface of the new general-purpose mechanical drives has also been designed to give the user greater flexibility and the possibility of reducing costs. The control panel is intended for commissioning or troubleshooting purposes only and does not include the panel as a standard drive. Users requiring a panel can choose between two types: basic and auxiliary. Both are removable, so the end user gets a single panel to swap between multiple drives and use across multiple drives.
1C31189G03 Compatible HardwareWith EMC filters and built-in brakes, the new drives are very well rounded. At the same time, the drives are extremely compact: at over 1 hp, the 480V drives are the smallest available in their category. And only the width of the drive increases with power, which makes it easy to install into cabinets or stand-alone configurations. Cable tunnels can be set in straight lines and all screw holes can be drilled in straight lines. 15 hp 480V units are available in the same standard R3 frame. Mounting of the 15 hp unit is also available and the drives can be mounted side by side without air gap. When the depth of the cabinet is very limited, the drives can even be mounted on one side to the back of the cabinet. Since the 15 HP version weighs only 5.5 lbs, handling and mounting these units is easy. The drives offer IP20 protection in their own housing.
High-speed communication and integrated control connect the drive to the module with comprehensive control connections: there are two bipolar analogue and five digital inputs (one of which can be configured for pulse trains), as well as one analogue, one relay and one digital output. The drives feature a new generation of fieldbus, with small, enclosed plug-in adapters providing high-speed communication. aBB’s general-purpose mechanical drives are available as single-phase drives (240V) up to a rating of 3 hp, three-phase drives (240V) up to a rating of 5 hp, and three-phase drives (480V) up to a rating of 15 hp. In the second half of 2007, these drives will also be extended to include In the second half of 2007, these drives will also be expanded to 25 hp (480 V) and 10 hp (240 V) in the new R4 frame size.
