Description

ALSTOM PIB102A 3BEB0180 Separate I/O external connector

This controller is designed to provide deterministic performance in time critical control applications. The ALSTOM PIB102A 3BEB0180 extends the context select register to reduce interrupt latency and instruction execution to accelerate digital signal processor (DSP) routines. This ALSTOM PIB102A 3BEB0180 single-core family complements the recently announced DPAN33P dual-core family based on the same core. With 100 MPS performance, this core is suitable for motor control, digital power and other applications requiring complex algorithms such as automotive sensors and industrial automation.

The ALSTOM PIB102A 3BEB0180 is specifically designed for controlling multi-sensor, brushless motors running field orientated control algorithms and power factor correction. The device includes integrated functional safety features for safety-critical designs, such as: built-in RAM self-test for checking RAM health and functionality; dead timer to monitor application health through periodic timer interrupts within a defined timing window; dual monitor timer (WTD); flash error correction code (ECC); Brown-out reset (Bor); reset power (Por); fail-safe power factor correction (PFPC); and a power supply (Por). ); Fail Safe Clock Monitor (FSCM).

The ALSTOM PIB102A 3BEB0180 has a Canada-FD communication bus to support automotive communication standards. It is integrated with analogue including ADCS (3.5MSP), analogue comparators with DACS, and operational amplifiers. The microcontroller includes an advanced digital power topology with a 250P resolution PWM, equivalent to a 4 GHz carrier frequency. Real-time firmware updates (up to 2x128kb blocks) are also provided to support high availability systems, especially important for digital power supplies.
