Reflective devices are often used to maximize the efficiency of light sources, directing light in specific directions to increase illuminance. Examples of such devices include car headlights, torches and photography lights. The 125840-01 demonstrates different values of ambient illuminance measured in lux.

Moonlit nights have an illuminance of 0.02-0.3 units. Cloudy indoors offer 5-50 units of illuminance, whereas cloudy outdoor conditions offer 50-500 units. Indoor sunny conditions provide 100-1000 units of illuminance. Dark nights have an illuminance ranging from 0.001 to 0.02 units. During summer noon, sunlight can offer an illuminance of about 10*6 times. Reading books and magazines typically require an illuminance of 50-60 units. Home video cameras require a standard illuminance of 1400 units.

125840-01The 125840-01 module is suitable for various locations, including agricultural greenhouses and city lighting. To enhance ease of use for engineering networks and industrial applications, this module uses the widely used MODBUS-RTU communication protocol and supports secondary development. By following our communication protocol, users can easily inquire and adjust module data via any serial communication software. Illuminance can be measured using an illuminance meter, without the need for subjective evaluations. Technical term abbreviations are explained when first used to ensure greater comprehensibility. The unit of illuminance is “lux”, which is the phonetic translation of “lx” from English. This can also be written as “lx”. The formal, objective, and balanced language used clearly communicate the information with precision, without the use of biased or figurative language. Adherence to academic conventions, style guides and regular formatting guarantees coherent and easily navigable writing. When an object is uniformly irradiated by light, it has a luminous flux of 1 lumen in an area of 1 square metre, resulting in an illuminance of 1 lux.

All operation and reply commands of the device are presented in hexadecimal data format. Default communication baud rate: 9600,8,n,1.

Basic command format includes the following:

[Device address] [Function code] [Start address: 2 bytes] [Data length: 2 bytes] [CRC16 check].

The meaning is as follows:

A. Device Address: The device address range is from 1 to 35. 250, which is 0xFA, serves as the general query address. Use this address to query when you are unsure of the device address.

B. Function code: The required function code varies by application, with 3 being an example for querying input register data.

 

Start Address: The start address of the query or operation register.

Data Length: The necessary length for reading. CRC Checksum: CRC16 checksum with the high bit in the front and the low bit in the back.
