This experience is now embedded in the most advanced, powerful and reliable system we have to offer to date: the Bently Nevada 3500 Series Protection System.
Certifications
The 3500 Series has been designed to meet the American Petroleum Institute standard API 670, the technical specification for the world’s most widely used mechanical protection system. For reciprocating compressor applications, the Series 3500 also meets API 618. The system can be ordered with DNV and Class NK certificates for offshore applications such as offshore platforms and ship propulsion applications. Furthermore, when used as a component of a safety instrumented system, TUV functional safety certificates are available for applications requiring up to full integrity level (SIL) 3. In addition, the 3500 Series has been certified to meet the relevant Canadian Standards Association (CSA), Factory Mutual (FM), GOST, ATEX and CE requirements.

That’s why, even in its most single-featured model, the 3500 Series is the most reliable monitoring system we’ve offered to date, featuring an extensive self-testing and fault-tolerant design that can be configured to multiple levels of redundancy, ranging from the addition of a second, fully redundant power supply to a full triple modular redundancy (TMR) configuration for selected channels or all channels, to fully satisfy your most demanding applications.
