Description

DSRF197 3BSE019297R1ABB Bus Extender Board

DSRF197 3BSE019297R1 has four types of connectors for use – SC, ST, LC and FC.

DC connectors are the oldest and are designed with threaded metal screws. LC connectors use a plastic moulded locking connection for simple operation.

CS connectors are like LC connectors, but use a locking tag instead of a latch to protect the unit. This is the most commonly used one, because the body is made of plastic.ST connectors are similar to FC connectors, but instead of a thread, they use a locking mechanism, and the body is made of metal like FC.

Details of DSRF197 3BSE019297R1

Core/Cladding Diameter :Single mode fibres have a small core diameter which allows only one mode of light to propagate. This minimises modal dispersion. Multimode fibres have a larger core, allowing multiple modes, but this results in higher modal dispersion.
Colour Colour coding helps to identify the type of fibre and is often standardised.
Single-mode fibre is used for long-distance data transmission due to its low attenuation rate and high bandwidth. Multimode fibres are used for short distance applications such as data centres. Polarisation-maintaining fibres are used in applications where the state of optical polarisation is to be maintained. Armoured fibre patch cords are used in environments where cables need to be protected from mechanical stress.
Thinning: Single mode fibres generally have lower attenuation compared to multimode fibres. This is due to less modal dispersion and scattering effects.

DSRF197 3BSE019297R1 can vary, but certain types of fibres are more common. For example, armourer (angled physical contact) connectors are often used with polarisation maintaining fibres.
Armoured fibre patch cords are specifically designed to withstand mechanical stress and are ideal for use in harsh environmental conditions.
