For critical control of industrial processes requiring maximum safety and continuous production, the TRICONEX 2401 redundant fault tolerant control system is the best choice. Used successfully by leading companies in the chemical, oil and gas, paper and power industries, it is a state-of-the-art fault-tolerant controller based on Triple Modular Redundancy (TMR) architecture. It integrates three isolated, parallel control systems (each called a subloop) and extensive diagnostic capabilities into a single system to provide highly complete, fault-free and uninterrupted process operation with two out of three voices and no single point of failure leading to system failure.

Fully compliant with IEC61508/61511, the TRICONEX 2401 incorporates today’s most advanced TMR microprocessor hardware technology and a sophisticated and reliable triple-redundancy fault-tolerant control system. With a wide range of performance in plant safety interlocking system ESD, steam turbine control, gas turbine control, compressor anti-surge control, offshore oil platforms, and fire and gas monitoring and protection (F&G), the system features high reliability and utilisation, and is widely used in petrochemical, refining, oil and gas, chemical, power, railway, aerospace, nuclear and other industries.

The most important feature of the TRICONEX 2401 is its fault-tolerant control, providing high reliability and availability at the same time. Threefold control, I/O modules and communication ensure high reliability and high system availability. The controller detects faults in control system components, automatically ejects the faulty component and allows the faulty component to be repaired on-line without interrupting the process, while the specified task continues. If one channel in an I/O board fails, the board is guaranteed for 1500 hours and meets TÜV AK6.
