Backplane connectors are connectors used on backplane PCBs. Currently, Molex’s main backplane products include Impact, Impel, Impel+, and Impulse.
The Impact system provides data rates of 25 Gbps and above, with two specifications available: 100 ohms and 85 ohms. The insertion and matching power is 50% lower than that of competitive products.
The Impel system provides a speed of up to 40Gbps and adopts a unified design of 90 ohms. This can meet the requirements of up compatibility with 100 ohms and down compatibility with 85 ohms.
Impel plus upgraded the speed to 56Gbps based on Impel; Impulse is a new product series targeting the 112G market.
Modern data centers need to support 56Gbps NRZ and 112Gbps PAM-4 transmission rates without affecting signal integrity. The Molex products to be introduced in this seminar can meet these complex and interrelated needs; Update the past, present, and future prospects of the backboard for everyone.
